Akron SCORE

Akron SCORE’s mission is to utilize the business knowledge and skills of its volunteer counselors to successfully guide entrepreneurs and existing small businesses toward their goals in Medina, Portage, Summit and Wayne Counties. The Akron chapter was formed in 1965 and has 70 counseling professionals with diverse business backgrounds. During 2012, Akron SCORE provided services to over 2,700 clients through face-to-face counseling and the 85 business workshops it conducted.

Akron SCORE believes that small business owners who are lifetime learners adapt to change more readily and are more successful. Volunteers as lifelong learners remain relevant, achieve personal satisfaction and growth.
